RealGood Tees™ was my first stab at running a “small business” (I made a Depop account). I had a ton of clothes that I wanted to get rid of to make some space.. and money. I did some quick design around the alias RealGood Tees™ to position myself as a reliable seller, grabbed some tape, 150 polymailers, a digi-scale and I was ready to go.
RGT sales’ were very slow. I even branched out to Grailed but my inventory sat stagnant for months on both. Competing with the top sellers on the these apps was something I didn’t care to do. Using Depop & Grailed was a lot of fun and a taught me enough to know I could create something better. Something that was more aligned with me.

After doing a little more market research, I decided to re-launch RealGood Tees™ as…. RealGood Games™ on Mercari. This time instead of old clothes, I’m selling my video game “collection”. Every game that I’ve ever owned was for sale on RealGood Games™.
My video games are precious to me. They’re little parts of my childhood. So I make sure to treat them and my customers with extra care. RealGood Games™ started to get sales and 5 star reviews! The extra cash and happiness of my customers was extremely gratifying. Everything was going fine, until I got this one bad review.
That one bad Review
While this person is putting a lot of sauce on their review, they are correct about the condition. I thought my item was in fantastic condition considering it was an original copy of the game. However, it was definitely not in ‘like new‘ condition. This semi-valid complaint actually led to the ‘ah-ha’ I’d been missing.
